Thoughts and Speculations

No racial healing

People talk about it as if it were a real possibility. But is it?

Jews have 0.2% of the world's population and more than 20% of the Nobel prizes. Blacks have 14% of the U.S. population and more than half the murders.

The usual explanations are overwhelmed by the size and durability of the disparities. They obviously don't work.

So why not expect resentments?

Getting rid of the assumptions behind expressions like "racial healing" would be a start. People aren't likely to start liking each other any time soon. The best we can do is realism, not imposing impossible standards, and finding accommodations.
