Is twitter worth it?

Is it worth it to read twitter?

I suppose it's worth something to see what people's issues are—e.g., whether a woman would be safer in the woods with a random man or a random bear.

And every now and then you pick up something else worth knowing, or have occasion to articulate something that's not obvious to everyone.

Even so, there's so much stupidity, factionalism, and bad faith there that it's hard to put up with it for more than a short visit to get an impression of the weather.
